CollectiveAid in Subotica (Serbia) near the Serbian-Hungarian border supported people on the move sleeping outside of official accommodation in squats or makeshift-camps. The focus of the project was on hygiene solutions (through shower and laundry services) and the provision of vital material aid (such as blankets or clothing items). In 2020, they were supporting four squats in the region in two different municipalities with a total population of approximately 150 people.
Advocacy with BVMN
Apart from that, they were part of the Border Violence Monitoring Network, collecting testimonies of violence people on the move encounter while trying to cross the border to Hungary, as well as reports about internal state violence.
CollectiveAid was also active in Bosnia and Herzogovina and France, facilitating camp services, showers, clothes & washing services, providing food, safe water, and essential material aid.
