Eudaimonia Medical Services Lesvos, Greece 2021-2022
Goal Providing translations for medical staff

In 2021, Eudaimonia Medical Services was set up to provide high-quality medical services to vulnerable populations on Lesvos in Greece, in an effort to both treat and prevent health problems. Eudaimonia brought humane and high-quality medical care in a wholesome way to those who needed it most.

The areas of focus included:

  1. Medical Translation
  2. Meeting complex social and medical needs
  3. Patient transport
  4. Covid-19 information and related care services

The project ended in 2022 when a major donor pulled out and at the same time, access to the population of the RIC Mavrovouni-camp was restricted by the local authorities. For some time, Eudaimonia continued providing translation services in the local hospital and in the health care centre (IKA) of Mytilini. However, the situation became increasingly difficult, and this forced Eudaimonia to shut down.
